Which content partners should you check out?

Did you know that October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) in the US? Whether you are in the US or other regions around the globe, this is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on disability awareness and inclusive workplaces practices and how Go1’s content can help promote inclusivity in your organization. ej4 is a US-based provider are a reliable and well-received content provider. They specialize in micro-learning: most ej4 courses are <10 minutes and include an assessment and downloadable resources. Symmetra is an Australian-based content developer offering a full suite of diversity courses to help organizations turn diversity into a competitive advantage. Their courses contain current content and are highly entertaining, gamified experiences that make learning fun. Almost all their courses are <15 minutes. Courses to consider: Disability Inclusion, Everyday Inclusion, and Unconscious Bias 101

skilla, an Italian company with UK roots, features quality content coupled with a unique user experience (UX). Most courses are between 15-30 minutes and feature animated videos. Many of their courses are offered in languages other than English. Courses to consider: Developing a working culture that values diversity, Diversity Management, and Perception in relationships

What new providers have we added to our library?

This UK provider gives us 56 in-depth courses in top areas such as Leadership, Business Skills, Wellbeing, Technology, Psychology, and even a little bit of Fashion design.  These courses give a comprehensive curriculum in these topics, which include videos and participant guides, and can be completed over several days or weeks.

Fit Learning – Added 19 new courses in Spanish covering Microsoft and professional development topics.

I love the approach of this provider and it made me think about my work just a little differently.

What’s Shannon’s favorite course right now? 

As I go through our library, I often look for courses to assist in my personal development. iAM Learning recently added a quick 10-minute course on Growth Mindset. I always love their content, often very short and to the point. This course was a great refresher for me for a topic I have spent time learning about in the past. A growth mindset is such a valuable thing to be more successful in business and in your personal life and this short course was a great reminder.

Curating content allows me to look at a lot of our content and see how different courses connect to our customers' values. During a recent curation, I came across The Art of Saying No by ej4. This quick 6-minute video, accompanied by a participant guide, was a great reminder of how saying "yes" to things too quickly can lead to unnecessary stress and guilt. This was 6 minutes well spent.

I love a good TED Talk but sometimes I need a little more information. Our content provider, The Expert Academy, is a great option for this. I recently took The Fundamentals of Mindfulness for Business by Tony J. Selimi. I loved his passion for this topic and his insights and suggestions on how to be more productive, increase performance, and increase profits. Whether you take the whole course or just watch the videos that you’re interested in, this is a course that is worth checking out.

ej4 – This US-based content provider isn’t new to our library but they are new to the Content Hub. Now as part of our subscription, ej4 offers over 2500 courses, primarily under 15 minutes in everything from IT software to personal development.

International Culinary Studio – This New Zealand-based content partner offers 11 of their premium cooking and culinary skill courses, including Food Safety, Basic Kitchen Prep, and Knife Skills.

Skillpod – This New Zealand-based content partner offers 12 concise courses (all 15 minutes) on important topics like resiliency, psychological safety, and setting professional standards.

Lighthouse Group – This Australian-based content partner offers an Advances Leadership series which is comprised of seven courses aimed to help leaders grow, connect, and scale in their jobs.

My Wellness School – This UK-based content partner offers 13 courses that can be consumed individually or as a series for the full Primary Wellness Challenge, focusing on mental health and mindfulness.

Going into June, I’ve had a lot of requests for diversity training. One of my favorite places to start is with Why Diversity Matters from Enspark. This short video gives an overview of how companies benefit from more diverse workforces, from financial impacts to less turnover. Enspark has a complete series on diversity and inclusion that is worth checking out.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the US and UK, so I've been curating playlists to help our customers have a better understanding and awareness of mental health in the workplace. Exploring mental health, how we take care of ourselves, and how we take care of others is so important and we have great content to assist our customers in building a better place to work. Beyond Blue's Introduction to Mental Health is a good place to start, as it talks about removing the stigma and how to set boundaries to ensure your own mental health, as well as talks about what companies can do to support their employees.  

Keep a look out for more information about Mental Health Awareness Month from Go1, as we work to create playlists that help companies adhere and understand the new international standard around creating psychological safety for employees and supporting mental health initiatives in the workplace.

I love a quick burst of learning. Lately, I have been going through our Blinkist library here at Go1. We have 150 of their book summaries in our library and I love being able to get through one while taking a quick walk. With daylight savings, I recently listened to The Sleep Revolution. It had some interesting facts about sleep, how important it is, and how to ensure a good night’s rest.

lawpilots joined the Go1 library in October, providing global compliance training in three languages - English, French, and Spanish (with more available upon request). Knowing that compliance training isn’t always fun, lawpilots has found ways to make their content engaging, ensuring longer knowledge retention. 

lawpilots works with large customers, like Konica Minolta and Aldi, and is available through the Go1 subscription. Courses available from lawpilots include Antitrust, Preventing of Money Laundering and Funding Terrorism, Export Control and Dealing with Embargoes, Equal Treatment Laws, Anti-Corruption, Compliance Basics, and CCPA for Employees.

Paying attention to our own emotions, along with those of our peers, is essential to emotional wellbeing. I love how interactive this course is and how the choose-your-own-adventure videos help demonstrate how our words and actions can impact those around us. This course will help you build a community of support, create healthy emotional wellbeing habits, and see signs of emotional suffering in others.
